Our mission
We often speak of heritage in terms of monuments, literature, or history, yet there exists much more intimate and deeply rooted legacy: musical heritage.
Music is the living memory and the heartbeat of a culture, it weaves as invisible thread between past and future, carrying stories that words alone cannot preserve. It is a shared emotional language, a common ground generations can recognize themselves through, but at the same time, is something profoundly personal.
Yiddish music is more than tradition, it carries the voices of communities that history has tried to silence.
Our trio is dedicated to preserving and reanimating this musical heritage. These melodies are living archives of the stories about exile and belonging, loss and resilience, through them, European Jewish culture continues to speak its memory and identity. We aim to preserve, revive and share these musical legacies to ensure that the voices are heard, remembered, and carried forward.
Sing us a song
In line with our mission, we strive to collect, preserve and perform as much music of the bygone era as possible.
So if you know anything, have any recordings or sheet music, remember a melody or a few lines, share them with us, sing your songs to us, and we will try to show them to the world as best we can.
